On Friday, music composer and actor Vijay Antony released the title poster of Lockdown Nights, actor Vetri's next. The film is helmed by director SS Stanly.

The title poster of Lockdown Nights shows a starry nightscape featuring the Malaysian twin towers. A full moon is seen shining bright, right above the film's title. Vinod Sabarish and Subash VS are backing the film under the banners, Too M Cinemas and Arthanas Trading.

Apart from Vetri, Lockdown Nights also stars Hamsini Perumal, who has previously featured in the TV series Manmadha Bullets, and the film Poochandi.

Music composer Justin Prabhakaran is composing music for Lockdown Nights, while Snekan is penning the lyrics for the song. The makers are yet to announce more details about the rest of the cast and crew, as well as, the release date of Lockdown Nights.

Kaaviyyan has two Malayali heroines

K.V. Shabareesh, who has been working in film productions of Tamil and Malayalam industries for years, is turning a producer with the Tamil film Kaaviyyan, directed by Parthasarathy I.V.. A Malayali who has worked more in the Tamil film industry, Shabareesh a.k.a. Vinod, thought he should start there.

"It is a road thriller shot mostly in Las Vegas. An Indian police officer who reaches America has a problem with another Indian there. A Hollywood artiste plays the villain, but we can’t reveal who it is. That’s a suspense," says Shabareesh.

"It is the first South Indian film that is mostly shot in Vegas, other films have had shorter sequences before." The film will also have two Malayali heroines — Athmeeya Rajen who has appeared in movies like Rose Guitarinal and Amoeba, and Sridevi Kumar, a US Malayali. Actor Shaam will be the hero of the film, produced under the banner of 2M Cinemas. Kaaviyyan starts shooting in July.
